Leslie Pierson is a talented emerging ceramics sculptor artist based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. With a passion for contemporary animal and figure sculptures, she skillfully combines artistry and storytelling through her work. Fascinated by alternative firing methods like raku, naked raku, saggar, and smoke, Leslie eagerly embraced these techniques after witnessing their captivating process. Five years ago, she built her own raku kiln under the guidance of David Barnes from Eversfield Ceramics and has been experimenting and creating unique pieces in her studio ever since.
